How to do TikTok Duets, Reacts and Stitches?

There’s so many ways to share other people’s videos on TikTok.

Three of them are doing Duets, Reacts or Stitches.

What are these and how do you do then you ask?

We’ll cover that in this blog post.

What is TikTok?

First, let’s just explain what TikTok is in case you don’t know yet.

I do have to say though that if you don’t know what TikTok is yet, you must be living under a rock lol

So, TikTok is a social media platform that allows you to share, create, upload and view short videos.

They can be from 5 seconds to 60 seconds at this writing.

You can do lip-sync videos as well as just plain education videos.

Some think it’s just for kids, but it certainly is not anymore.

The big influencers like Gary Vaynerchuck and Grant Cardone are all over it and definitely recommend using it to grow your audience online.

What is a Duet video?

Once of the ways you can share other people videos is to do a Duet.

That is a format where their video is on the right hand side of the screen and you record your video on the left side.

You also do not have your voice in the video (although you can add a voice-over after) so it’s great for lip-sync videos.

The final video can’t be any longer than the original

What is a React video?

The next type of share is a React.

This is where you can talk and record yourself at the same time as original video.

The original video show up in a small box on top of yours and can be moved around on the screen.

You’ll want to use an external mic in this type of video otherwise it will pick up the original sound and won’t be great.

As in a Duet, the new video can’t be any longer than the original.

What is a Stitch video?

The last method of sharing someone else’s video is a Stitch.

With a Stitch, you choose at most 5 seconds of the other person’s video and add yourself to the end.

You can make your video as long as 60 seconds if you’d like.

Sharing a sound in your video

The other way you can share someone else’s content is to use their sound and record your own video with it.

This last method will not have any of their video and you can make your video only as long as theirs.

Watch the video

Make sure to watch the video in this post as I show how to do all these three methods.

If you have anyone you know who is into TikTok, share this post and video with them.
