How to get Leads from Social Media?
It’s not secret that anyone building a business online today needs to use social media.
If you try to use the same tactics as normal businesses use in traditional media in a social media environment, this will just not work.
It’s a different world and you need to know how to generate leads on social media.
What is traditional media?
In the normal business world, they simply use advertising in TV, radio, magazines, billboards, etc…
Even though you can use advertising on social media, unless you already are a huge name brand and everyone already knows who you are, it just won’t be that effective.
So, what do you need to do on social media?
The solution is attraction marketing
The first thing you need to do is grow your audience using attraction marketing and probably personal branding.
Since social media is all about people and social interactions, you need to get personal.
If you don’t you can’t use social media, at least not with millions in advertising.

Other than needing a social media account, you need something to give them if you want them to become a lead.

How to get a lead on social media
So, what do you do?
Pretty simple, create a post that asks a question and tells them comment something to get the answer.
You then reply to any of the comments telling them to check their inbox/PM
And you send them the info/link in that PM
The wording is like this:
If I can show you X would you want to know how? comment “info” and I’ll tell you how.
Once they comment, you send them the info.
X can be anything, such as:
- If I can show you how to generate leads online
- If I can show you how to loose 10 pounds in a week
- If I can show you how to make $500 a week
- If I can show you how to build a better mouse trap
What NOT to do
The idea is to NOT post a link in the question
and NOT to post link in any comments
Basically not to share info publicly, but just in private messages.
Main reason is you want engagement on your post.
Each reply adds to engagement
This in turn causes the social media platform to share your post more.
As they share it more, there will be more comments and eyes on it.
This is the snowball effect or viral content effect.
You can repeat this over and over no matter what you are asking them
