How to get engagement on Facebook to get Sales?

If you’ve been wondering how others get Sales on social media platforms like Facebook, you are at the right place.

No matter how annoying it is that we aren’t getting any comments or likes on our posts on Facebook, we need to remember it’s not our platform.

The owners of the platform decide how it works.

If we want to get results, we need to follow their rules.

Rules on Facebook

What are the rules on Facebook then?

There are lots of “rules” I could talk about but the one we are interested in, I call “engagement reciprocity”.

It’s part of a more general rule on most social media platforms that are around reciprocity.

What is reciprocity?

Maybe you’re not clear on what reciprocity means…

Basically, it’s a rule that says that an action causes the same actin by someone else.

For example,if you like 10 posts, 10 other people will like your posts… if you like 50, then you’ll get 50 likes.

Or, if you watch 20 videos, then 20 people will watch yours…

Or if you post 20 comments on posts, then you will get 20 comments on your posts.

In other words, if you don’t comment, like or watch, no one will comment like or watch your stuff.

Is it that simple?

Obviously, it’s not a 100% 1-for-1 type of deal.

It’s a general rule which is mostly true.

You can be sure though that the algorithms use this “universal law”

Imagine. Like me, I have over 4000 friends on Facebook…

Why is it you think that I see posts from the same 10-20 friends all the time?

How does Facebook know who’s posts to show me?

They use the engagement reciprocity law.

What does this mean?

It means that Facebook (and other social media platforms) will reward you for doing the actions they want you to do.

It also means that you can take the actions you want others to take as well.

How does that help with Sales on Facebook?

That’s a good question.

It all comes down to how sales happen.

You probably already heard this but here’s how it goes:

Before anyone will buy from you, they need to trust you.

Before they trust you, they must get to like you

and before they like you , they need to know you.

Social media helps with getting them to know you and the rest just falls into place.

It all comes down to this

Post regularly content your customers would be interested in engaging on

Engage on your potential customer’s posts

Get to know them and they will do the same

Sales will come eventually.

I never said it was easy or fast, just that it was simple.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.
